The TGRCNM Drop In Center is a place where transgender, nonbinary and gender non-conforming people come to receive direct services. Drop In Center Staff support the mission of the organization by assisting participants who are accessing services and provide a welcoming and affirming environment for those we serve.

Salary: $17 -$18 per hour; up to 25 hours per week
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Travel: Not Applicable

Reports to: Drop In Center Coordinator

Advocates for the mission of the organization and upholds the agency’s values.
Ensure participants are complying with center guidelines and procedures.
Delivers services with safety, respect and effectiveness.
Assess participant needs and offer assistance in every manner practical.
Monitors participant behavior. Follows all policies and procedures of the organization.
Prepare meeting spaces, offices and open spaces for services offered.
Facilitates storage of personal items.
Maintains order and assists in keeping all assigned areas clean and free of spills, trash and safety hazards.
Receive and put away donations on your shift.
Perform other duties as assigned by shift lead, or executive staff.
Provide immediate and professional response to any security /safety emergency or disturbance within or immediately outside facility.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure.

Must be flexible. Ability to multi task.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment.
Spanish-language proficiency is a plus.

Physical demands: Sitting, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, reaching, carrying, speaking, listening.
Work environment: An environment of high stress and fast pace of crisis intervention. The protocol for safety and security is a priority. Use of phones, in-person assistance, computer, fax, and other general office machinery.
